...Anyway, they've been having fun over at cosplay.com about this, so I thought I'd stick it up for dA people to see it, too.

Still a few little bits of shading to adjust, and it'll be glossed up prior to use...but otherwise....here's my completed Soul Edge.
Um.... wait, not "complete" - I mean....incomplete Soul Edge "finished"...in the shower... ^_-;

Well, I'd say it's anything that has fibres that isn't "fabric" - so all forms of paper mache are included (which is any kind of paper from tissue to cardboard molded/layered/attached/stiffened by any number of adhesives) and I'd even go so far as to include inorganic foam.
There's also a bit of wirework and a bit of plastic as well, so maybe it's just a mixed media...? ^_-

i'd love to know what materials you made this out of..

but wow, fuckin insane :jawdrop:

i wouldn't mind seeing this as a fully functional sword, i'm sure it could be done...hmm, this gave me an idea for a project...mwuahaha
