This is a sample from a photoshoot that I did at Anime Expo 2004, when I was cosplaying Lloyd from the Legend of Dragoon.
The costume itself is all hand-made by me, as is the Dragon Buster (which was sculpted almost entirely out of hot glue - with the aid of ice cubes!) - the blade of which actually lights-up in person.
Original photo by my friend Kyle. All manipulation and design by me.
There are two layers of hot-glue formed in sheets, sealed together along the edges, but leaving a hollow pocket on the inside of the blade that I stuffed two strings of battery-operated mini L.E.D.s into. Luckily, there was -just- enough room in the hilt to accomodate the 8 AA's I needed to power this thing along with my hand. ^_^;
Hehe, yeah...where were you? ^_-
It's about 85% hotglue...the blade is entirely, but there's a bit of closed-cell foam on the hilt portion for stability and a base form.....but then there's hot glue over all of that for texture. ^_^;
...I can't beleiev you actually made a light-up sword!
Well, I can, having just looked through your whole gallery.
Wow. You have some really awesome skill, patience, and creativity!

That's awesome!! You may be the first LOD cosplayer I've ever seen, and you did it perfectly! Lloyd is so cool...

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
